Webhook 410 Gone handling guide

HTTP 410 tells the producer the subscription endpoint is permanently retired. Retrying wastes resources and can flag your account. Stop retries, rotate URLs in the dashboard, and drain queues safely.

Common causes

  • Retries continue after 410.
  • Same URL reused across environments.
  • No alert when endpoint decommissioned.

How to fix

  • Mark 410 as terminal in retry policy.
  • Read the full operational checklist on our dedicated page.
  • Update provider configuration before resuming.
